Evolution Gaming (officially renamed Evolution in 2020) is a Swedish live casino provider founded in 2006, and Evolution live casino now runs more than 2,000 live tables, best known for Lightning Baccarat, Speed Baccarat and Crazy Time. It is the studio every other live provider gets measured against.
Evolution Gaming is a B2B studio: it doesn't run casinos, it streams live dealer games that online casinos plug into their lobbies. Parent company Evolution AB (publ) is based in Stockholm and listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Its biggest studio hub is Tbilisi, Georgia, with more across Europe and the Americas — and, since 2025, its first Asian studio in Cebu, the Philippines. Licences include the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man and many more, and in 2010 it became the first European company to earn eCOGRA's Certified Live Dealer seal.
Evolution live casino covers baccarat in more than ten styles, plus Bac Bo dice baccarat, Dragon Tiger, Fan Tan, Sic Bo, roulette, blackjack and game shows — but these three are where we would start.
Normal baccarat plus 1 to 5 random Lightning Cards every round, putting 2x to 8x multipliers on winning hands. The catch: a 20% Lightning Fee is added to your total bet, so a RM50 bet really costs RM60.
Face-up cards and minimal betting time: about 27 seconds a round versus about 48 at standard Live Baccarat, by Evolution's own figures. Prefer no commission? Evolution's No Commission Baccarat drops the 5% Banker cut and adds an optional Super 6 side bet paying 15:1.
Evolution's money-wheel game show, launched in July 2020, with four bonus games and a 1-in-6 chance of a bonus round per spin. The official RTP is 96.08% on the best spot; one comparison site puts the full range at 94.41% to 96.08%. Loud and fun — treat it as entertainment money.
On a standard Evolution baccarat table, Banker returns 98.94% (1.06% house edge), Player 98.76% (1.24%) and Tie at 8:1 only 85.64% (14.36%) — the standard 8-deck, 5%-commission figures. Lightning Baccarat adds its 20% fee (two independent game databases list its Player bet at 98.76%), and Peek Baccarat charges 20% on Player or Banker bets. But a provider licence protects the game, not your deposit — your cuci depends on your casino, so don't play play when choosing one.
Because the tables are built for Asian baccarat players — Asia is Evolution's biggest region, at 37% of net revenue by player location in its own Q2 2026 report. You get all five roads, Red Envelope bonuses paying up to 88x on Tie or Pairs at Asian tables, Squeeze and Control Squeeze, and Baccarat Multiplay to bet several tables from one screen. One gap: Evolution doesn't list its Asian dealer languages, so we could not confirm Malay-speaking tables.
Yes. Evolution has had an HTML5 mobile client since 2012, so its tables open straight in Chrome or Safari on Android and iOS through ExFunCity partner casinos — no app, no VPN.
Q1: Is Evolution Gaming legit and safe?
Yes, as a provider. Evolution is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission and many others. That covers the game, not your casino — choose one with a good cuci record.
Q2: Which Evolution game is best to start with?
Speed Baccarat. Simple rules, fast rounds and a 98.94% Banker RTP under standard rules, with no extra fee.
Q3: What is the RTP of Evolution baccarat?
Under standard 8-deck rules with 5% commission, Banker returns 98.94%, Player 98.76% and Tie (8:1) 85.64%. Lightning and Peek Baccarat add a 20% fee.
Q4: Is Evolution Lightning Baccarat worth it?
Only if you enjoy chasing 2x to 8x multipliers. You pay a 20% fee on top of every bet, and two game databases put the Player bet RTP at 98.76%. For steady play, Speed Baccarat is cheaper.
Q5: Can I play Evolution live casino on mobile in Malaysia?
Yes. Evolution tables run in your phone browser on Android and iOS through ExFunCity partner casinos — no app and no VPN needed.
Q6: How do I deposit and cuci on ExFunCity?
Deposit instantly via Touch 'n Go, DuitNow, Local Bank Transfer or USDT. When you win, request a withdrawal and your cuci is paid out fast.
